Q. Is there a set fee that I am required to charge for the Angelina BallerinaTM dance classes or can I set my own prices?
A. You may set your own fees for the Angelina Ballerina dance classes.
Q. How long is each class in the Angelina Ballerina dance curriculum?
A. Each class in the Angelina Ballerina dance curriculum is designed to be run as a 30 or 45 minute session at the discretion of your studio and instructor. Studios may decide on a longer or shorter class format depending on the class size, the students’ ages, and the typical length of other classes at your studio.
Q. May I still run my regular preschool dance classes at my studio and also run the
A. Yes. You may run your regular preschool dance classes and add Angelina Ballerina dance
Q. Do the Angelina Ballerina classes need to be held at my studio, or may I send
A. The classes must be held at the licensed studio location to ensure that the students are getting a consistent, dedicated studio and a quality class experience.
Q. If I have more than one location, do I need to license all locations or can I just license one location?
A. As a partner studio, you must obtain a license for every dance studio location that is a part of the same company, uses the same trade name and shares marketing (e.g. a website.) You cannot licence just one of your locations
Q. Am I locked into long-term commitment as an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy partner studio?
A. The minimum term commitment to be an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy partner studio is 12 months. After that time, you may terminate your relationship as a partner studio by giving AB Studio Licensing 90 days’ written notice. Before the end of the 90 day period, you must remove all Angelina Ballerina branding from your studio, website and marketing materials. Upon termination of your licence, your studio will be removed as a recommended partner studio from the Angelina Ballerina National Studio Finder website.
Q. Are there any special requirements that I must meet at my studio to be granted an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy license?
A. To qualify for an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy license, your studio must have been in operation for at least 3 years. As a licensed partner studio, you must have, or upgrade to, a minimum of $2,000,000.00 (two million) dollars of business liability insurance. On the application page, you will be asked to give details about your facilities and your typical staff qualifications. To be approved as a partner studio, your studio website will be reviewed to ensure that it is consistent with the messaging, look, and quality of the Angelina Ballerina brand.
Q. What is the popularity of Angelina Ballerina?
A. Angelina Ballerina, a beloved publishing property for close to three decades, was first introduced in 1983 as a children’s book written by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig. Since then, over 6 million books have been sold worldwide. In addition to the critically acclaimed story books, Angelina Ballerina dances her way into the hearts of young girls on PBS KIDS® and Sprout® in the CG-animated series, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, and has a thriving consumer products program based on the new look including dolls, apparel, publishing, apps and the specialty toy market. In 2010, Angelina Ballerina The Musical, produced by Vital Theatre Company, debuted in New York City to nearly sold out audiences. HIT Entertainment continues to invest in the Angelina Ballerina brand and is looking forward to her bright future.

A. Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed and you will be given a response within 7 business days.
